Thurs May 16, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Phyllis’ plan to support Daniel backfires; Audra makes a power move; Abby’s loyalty is tested.
Wednesday’s recap: Traci’s Heartbroken, Audra Gives Sally Advice, Tucker Lies to Audra — & Ms Abbott’s Ready For Tucker to Die

In the lobby of the Athletic Club, Daniel and Abby talk about the wonders of being on the opposite side of a lawsuit.
She looks around awkwardly as he says he doesn’t hold it against her and fishes for information about who voted in the “little lawsuit.”
Abby stops him and she tells him they’ve been friends a long time. She can’t lie. He worries and she says she voted to fight him in court. “Oh,” Daniel says.
She clarifies it’s CW’s intellectual property. He digs for more information but she tells him nothing.
He’s hurt and she apologizes but needed to do what was best for the company
. He brings up how she got on the board and she tells him everyone on the board voted her in.
She cuts him off when he has more questions to get back to the office.
Upstairs in Audra’s room, she asks why he’s optimistic that Devon will let him be a father again. He’s hopeful.
She finds it strange. He admits Devon didn’t broker the deal. “Okay, now the truth comes out,” she says.
He reminds her he’s a master at risk analysis and Devon’s at odds with Billy.
Tucker thinks he’s ready to do something underhanded.
That’s Tucker’s specialty. She knows but worries he’ll be let down.
She tells him about moving their flight up.
They can leave for the airport now.
Tucker wants to handle the Billy situation before they go.
“No, are you serious?” Audra says, shocked he’s cancelling again.
She’s tired of being runner-up to everyone else.
Everyone comes first before her.
She rants and he stops her and yells at her, telling her if she knew him at all, she’d know that a chance to be a father to Devon is all he’s wanted.
Audra knows she’s not family or as meaningful as those who tell him they want noting to do with him.
“Why?!” She asks if he’s punishing her for not bowing to her commands and refusing to marry him.
She cries, done with his games.
Tucker vows it’s not a game. She doesn’t think he wants to be with her and takes off saying she’ll go to Paris alone.
He kicks the suitcases as he calls after her.
At Chancellor-Winters, Lily, Nate and Devon feel Jill has betrayed them.
They need to respond accordingly.
Abby arrives and they discuss having a vote.
Jill turns up on the screen behind them.
“Oh for God’s sake. What now?”
Nate leaves the room and Abby tells Jill she’s in the dark, too.
Jill repeats she gave Billy her complete authority and voting rights so she could step back.
Why are they calling a meeting without him.
She wanted to avoid this.
Lily says that was clear but they can’t reach Billy and he and Lily entered into an agreement with her, not Billy.
Devon needs to define Billy’s power. “He does not get veto power or unilateral decisions.
And we expect all decisions and ideas to pass by Lily and myself. If it’s a no for us, it’s a no across the board.”
Jill finds them pulling a number on her to be outrageous.
Lily says the balance has shifted and they all need equal balance.
This move practically neutralizes Billy.
Devon thinks Billy’s causing instability.
She feels they’re stripping her of her power but Devon says she did this to herself.
Jill can’t be bothered to vote. It’s them against her and Abby will vote with them.
“Are we done here?” She wants to call her lawyer.
Abby says there’s no need for that. She’s voting with Jill and Billy.
Jill’s grateful and tells them there’ll be no more meetings without her son.
She signs off and Lily snarks that she should have voted Nate in. Devon wonders why she voted against her.
She wonders in turn why he’d think she’d just agree blindly with him.
She did what she thought was right.
She’s been forced to choose between Newmans and Abbotts her whole life and didn’t expect him to do this to her.
Putting limits on Billy only puts limits on Jill.
Is that how they want to treat their partner? Lily now thinks weakening his power might have made him more dangerous.
Daniel walks into Crimson Lights to Phyllis tripping her earbuds from her ears.
She tells him a song of his dad’s came on and she’s not a fan.
She complains that he chose Christine over her. Daniel sighs.
Phyllis assumes her ex has lost his marbles.
Daniel stares and then breaks into laughter.
She asks if he’s mocking her. He admits yes.
She’s so self-absorbed.
He asks if she thinks he’s a jerk. She doesn’t.
He whines about being fired and pissing Lily off.
Phyllis doesn’t think his cheating on her is his fault.
She thinks Lily will come along.
Daniel confesses Abby voted against her and he’s left wondering when he became the guy everyone wants to hate.
Phyllis calls Abby a spoiled rich girl who thinks family comes first.
Lily will come around.
She’s not a grudge-holder. Daniel can’t wait forever.
He built his life around his games. He’s not sure what comes next.
He never sees Kevin, he lives in the building as his ex.
Phyllis stops him and thinks once he’s with family, Lucy and Heather, that he’ll realize he has a good life.
Daniel needs to go paint or sketch or come up with a new game. “That’d show everyone,” he says with a laugh.
Phyllis promises this will pass. He’s talented.
Tucker walks in as her son leaves and he asks what happened to the good old days when kids listened to their parents.
He sits with her and asks for a parent-to-parent bonding session.
She’s not sure she’s the one to talk to. He says okay but tells her he’s trying to reconnect with Devon.
She complains about his son firing hers.
Tucker didn’t know. Phyllis believes in Billy to influence the others to rehire her son.
She details that Jill gave the reigns to Billy and Tucker listens intently.
Devon shows up and Tucker goes to him to tell him Billy’s out of town so they can start things moving.
Devon excuses himself to question if Phyllis told Tucker about Billy. How did she find out? She says Billy told her.
Devon says she violated her confidentially clause. She shrugs and deadpans. “Yep.”
He fired half her division and she calls his business toxic and tells him she quits.
He grins and thanks her for making his job easier and stalks off.

Audra saunters into Crimson Lights on the warpath.
Sally finds her and asks what’s going on.
Audra orders a whiskey and launches into a tirade about the jerk that Tucker is, focusing on everyone but her.
“Ashley?” Sally asks.
“No, this time it’s Devon,” Audra tells her, exasperated.
She walks Sally through the whole thing about him wanting to get back into Devon’s good graces.
Sally stares. She gets her frustration but she also sees Tucker’s point of view.
This isn’t what Audra wants to hear but Sally explains that her parents ignored her as a child.
She’s jealous that Devon has a parent who wants to go on a limb for him.
Audra thinks devoted is a stretch but she understands, having had her own parental sob stories.
Sally believes he loves her. Audra thinks he’s throwing everything away with her and she knows this is destined for disaster.
Audra feels taken for granted and considers getting Glissade to appoint her as Tucker’s replacement after she turns them against him.
Sally’s shocked.
Nate comes up as they talk and Audra tells her friend she’s done. Sally goes and Nate says he heard some of the conversation. Audra doesn’t need I told you sos.
She tells him she’s flying to Paris but Nate asks her to stay and have dinner with him.
Back at CW, Abby tells Lily she told Daniel about who she voted for during the meeting about his case.
Lily explains she needs to stop that. It is confidential. She admits Daniel pleaded his case and it got to her.
She’s hoping for middle ground to avoid the battle.
Maybe they can give a game and keep a portion of the revenue. He can be an outside consultant. They agree it’s fair.
