Why did Luke hide away?
Luke went into hiding after his nephew and apprentice, Ben Solo, turned to the dark side and became Kylo Ren, a warlord of the tyrannical First Order and its leader, Snoke. When Ren killed all of his fellow apprentices and ushered in the fall of the New Republic, Luke felt responsible, and disappeared.
Disillusioned by Kylo Ren's betrayal, Luke Skywalker spent a long time alone on Ahch-To with no hope for the Jedi Order before agreeing to train Rey.
The Last Jedi provided an answer to that mystery in 2017, revealing that Luke had chosen exile following his failure to keep Ben Solo from falling to the Dark Side of the Force.
At any rate, Darth Vader proves that hiding Luke Skywalker on Tatooine was the best decision for him to be raised in secret and away from the eyes of the Empire and his father in the Star Wars galaxy.
As such, this makes Luke's self-imposed absence from the galaxy even worse. Rather than trying to bring his nephew back to the light or going to speak with Leia and Han, Luke seemingly chose to remain in his guilt and shame for six years before the events of The Force Awakens and the arrival of Rey.
Kenobi took Luke to Tattooine to hide him from the Empire and Darth Vader, and STAYED there to keep watch over Luke.
The main reason that scenario is possible is that Luke was closed off from the Force when he initially met Rey, meaning he couldn't have sensed who she was until came back to him. But even more important than that, Luke felt the darkness in Rey as she began connecting to her surroundings.
Additionally, Luke's inherent personality and choices led him to resist the temptations of the dark side. His determination to uphold the principles of the Jedi Order and his belief in the power of redemption played significant roles in shaping his character.
While his decision to go into exile can seem rather abrupt, the novelization of Revenge of the Sith is explained by looking into Yoda's point of view. After battling Palpatine, he realized the Sith had grown far stronger than the Jedi and that his years of training had failed.
From his point of view in The Last Jedi, either he failed or aspired too far above what the Force willed for him. Luke didn't just "cut himself off" from the Force; he felt unworthy of it. He felt the Force no longer needed him or his hokey religion and ancient weapon.
Why did Vader never find Luke?
Why didn't Darth Vader search for his lost son Luke? Darth Vader initially didn't know he had a son. After becoming Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker lost touch with his former life and relationships. It wasn't until later in the original Star Wars trilogy that he discovered the truth about Luke.
One possible explanation is that Obi-Wan and Luke were intentionally concealing their presence using the Force. Additionally, Tatooine is a planet with a strong connection to the Force, which may have made it more difficult for Vader to pinpoint specific individuals.
During Star Wars' Original Trilogy, Luke felt attachment toward Darth Vader after realizing he's the Sith Lord's son. But beyond sharing the same blood, he seemed to know very little about who his father once was.
N'Kata Del Gormo was a Force-sensitive male Hysalrian Jedi Master who lived during the times of the Galactic Republic. According to legend, he found and trained Yoda and a Force-sensitive Human friend.
Move aside, Anakin Skywalker. Master Yoda has risen above all others to claim the top spot as the most powerful Jedi of all time and the true chosen one according to IGN's audience. He won pretty handily as well, as he was victorious in 89,756 of his 95,243 battles and had a win percentage of 94.2%.
Though there was some debate among the fans that Anakin Skywalker's son, Luke Skywalker, was actually the Chosen One since he caused his father to destroy Darth Sidious, the debate was settled when George Lucas himself confirmed in an interview that Anakin, even after becoming Darth Vader, was still officially the ...
After returning from his Force projection, Luke spent his final moments watching the sunset on Ahch-To and was filled with a sense of peace and purpose before passing away and becoming one with the Force. Despite passing on, fans saw Luke again as a Force ghost in The Rise of Skywalker.
Ahch-To
In The Force Awakens, Rey locates legendary Jedi Master Luke Skywalker hiding out on a cloistered island on the planet Ahch-To, and that's where she trains with him in The Last Jedi.
In "The Last Jedi," Luke Skywalker disappears and becomes one with the Force after exerting a great deal of energy to project a lifelike image of himself across the galaxy.
Legends Luke would wipe the floor with Kylo Ren. He's Ren's superior in every way: He's a better, more experienced fighter, he's vastly more powerful, and he's beaten way worse than Ren. It's doubtful Kylo Ren would even be a challenge for him; the fight would be very short.
Is Rey actually Luke's daughter?
Is Rey a Skywalker? No. Although she's called the granddaughter of Palpatine, technically she's his daughter.
Kylo's Hatred Began With His Jedi Training
Not only did Ben care little for the Jedi, he also viewed Luke as the person keeping him away from his parents. And the strict rules of the Order only made matters worse, as Ben felt they limited his potential, and forced him to forgo attachments.
Luke Skywalker's biggest weakness is often seen as his impulsive nature and emotional vulnerability. He can be prone to acting on his feelings rather than carefully considering the consequences, which can lead to mistakes and conflicts.
After his first lightsaber duel with his father, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker suffered an injury that weakened his force strength forever.
Palpatine chose to keep his face as a symbol of the Jedi's treachery and as a way to appear weak to his enemies.
