Is onward lgbt?
It's been a long wait, but a Disney heroine finally has a girlfriend… and it's not Elsa. Months after The Rise of Skywalker featured the first same-sex kiss in the Star Wars galaxy, the new animated film Onward introduces the first self-identified lesbian character into the Disney-Pixar universe.
Pixar's latest animation Onward has been banned by several Middle Eastern countries because of a reference to lesbian parents, according to reports. The family film will not be shown in Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, Hollywood media have reported.
“Onward” isn't quite up to par with Pixar classics like “Toy Story,” “The Incredibles” and “Monsters Inc.” The Dungeons & Dragons-inspired romp has been deemed “funny” and “heartwarming.” The biggest gripes from critics included the film's “cookie-cutter story line” and that the film felt like a knock-off Pixar movie.
In the movie, quiet 16-year-old elf Ian (voiced by Tom Holland) is bestowed a wizard's staff and spell to bring back his father, who died before he was born, so Ian and his fun-loving 19-year-old sibling, Barley (Chris Pratt), can spend one more day with him.
Onward is a 2020 American animated urban fantasy adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film was directed by Dan Scanlon, produced by Kori Rae, and written by Scanlon, Jason Headley, and Keith Bunin.
Any film that focuses on religion is bound to cause controversy, and Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ can claim to be the most banned movie in the world. The film stars Willem Dafoe as Jesus Christ and follows his life and the many temptations he faces in his journey.
David Lowery, director of the 2016 Pete's Dragon, made the big reveal in an interview with Ain't It Cool News. “When you sign a contract with Disney, the thing it says your film cannot have are beheadings, impalements, or smoking,” he disclosed.
Toy Story 2 almost got deleted from Pixar's servers, but a new mom who worked from home saved the film.

This an ideal movie for families with children aged eight years and over. We recommend parental guidance for children aged 5-8 years because of the movie's themes, violence and suspenseful scenes of peril. These are the main messages from this movie: Love is a journey, not a destination.
Who is the girl with blue hair in the Disney movie?
Joy is a fictional character who appears in Disney/Pixar's Inside Out franchise. She is one of the five emotions inside the mind of Riley Andersen, being the literal embodiment of joy and the lead emotion in Riley's head. She wears a green dress and has yellow skin and blue hair.
In the end, Barley gets the chance to see his father and say goodbye to him. The pair embrace before the boys' father disappears with the sunset. While Ian never speaks to his father, he gets to briefly see him and is at peace with the happy relationship he's developed with Barley in his father's absence.
Shrek is an American media franchise made by DreamWorks Animation, loosely based on William Steig's 1990 picture book Shrek!.
Onward is basically a DnD campaign, but for your kids and really, really heartwarming. Pratt and Holland work great as the two brothers, giving them a relationship that feels real. Barley, the older brother, encourages Ian along the trip even while Ian questions every decision.
Pixar is known for tugging at the heartstrings, but few Pixar films juggle as many themes as Onward does. Through Ian's emotional arc, Onward explores the importance of family, the lasting influence of grief, and acceptance as both Ian and Barley learn to love each other for their flaws and quirks.
The Terror of Tiny Town (1938)
Melvin Defleur referred to it as "Perhaps the worst film of all time", and critic Gabriel Ricard listed it as the worst film ever made; stating, "not only is it pretty terrible, but Tiny Town is also pretty endearing."
The film's plot involves a brainwashed male model, played by Ben Stiller, being manipulated to assassinate the prime minister of Malaysia, leading to the film being banned in the countries of Malaysia and SIngapore. Despite the ban, the movie achieved success worldwide, grossing over $60 million.

Disney wasn't always the media behemoth it is today, in fact, this movie nearly ended the company. In 1985, Disney released its 25th animated feature, The Black Cauldron. The movie was based on The Chronicles of Prydain novels by Lloyd Alexander which were rooted in Welsh mythology.
One of the earliest films from this outfit was a historical movie for Disney, it's very first R-rated release: Down and Out in Beverly Hills.
What movie almost ruined Disney?
Known as the movie that almost killed Disney animation back in the '80s, The Black Cauldron is just a movie made in the wrong generation.

For a time, Toy Story 3 was the single saddest Pixar film ever put to screen. It's not hard to see why. Originally serving as a conclusion to the Toy Story franchise, Toy Story 3 sees what happens when we finally outgrow our favorite childhood toys.
With a worldwide box-office gross of over $2.9 billion, Avatar is proclaimed to be the "highest-grossing" film, but such claims usually refer to theatrical revenues only and do not take into account home video and television income, which can form a significant portion of a film's earnings.
In 1998, Pixar was getting ready to release Toy Story 2. The film was nearly complete and final edits were being made, but when someone hit the wrong button, the movie's files began to disappear. Galyn Susman, a producer on the film is named as the woman who saved the day.
