Location, location, location!! We are absolutely in love with the Sand Castle and will definitely be back. The home was comfortable and sweet. Waking up to that ocean view and being able to sit on the deck feeling on the edge of the world was exactly what we were dreaming of! We will definitely be back!

Nice, roomy and cozy house in a beautiful location on the most gorgeous of beaches. Within beach-walking distance to the small town of Yachats. We were on a family trip with our daughters and loved this peaceful spot.

The Sandcastle is a peaceful oasis! Overlooking the ocean from the living rooms, kitchen, & hot tub, it was a one of a kind location with private access to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped with all we needed & the linens were so lovely. To top it off, the game room is spectacular! This is a home you never need to leave while on vacation. One fun tip: If you are watching sports but want to be in the hot tub, you can rotate the TV to watch the game through the window while relaxing in the jets. One space alert: 3 bedrooms feel like real bedrooms while the 4th is a mini couch space with a futon that folds down from a couch setting, if desired. A huge shout out to Sweet Homes management who were incredible to work with on this special vacation for our family. Their kindness and responsive nature was gold star service.

This was one of the best Air BnB experiences we’ve had. The house is absolutely incredible and was more than we could have asked for. We spent a long weekend here with friends and furry friends :) and I don’t know who had more fun, us or the dogs! The house is well equipped, very clean, beautiful surroundings with a 5 minute drive into downtown Yachats and you can’t beat being right on the beach. We will definitely be back! Thanks to the team at Sweet Homes for such an amazing stay!

We absolutely loved our stay here. We had three small families and every room felt like a master. The space was beautiful and perfect for what we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the view. The large table was amazing for playing games which the house came stocked with! There were plenty of towels and linens to go around. I love how they had an office right in town that we could stop in at if we had any questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Our girls, 4yo and 7yo, talk about staying at The Sand Castle year round. (This is our second summer here.) The private stairway down to the beach is awesome and the beach is such a hidden gem that it feels like our own private beach. We can’t wait to go next year.

Beautiful property that is literally steps away from the wide sandy beach. This is a home for spending time in: large game room, huge deck with chairs, gas grill, an area on each floor for hanging out/reading, big dvd and board game collections, comfortable beds, stocked kitchen and perfect location. Enjoy hot tubs? How about a hot tub with a great view of the ocean? Choose this property! Enjoy watching the sunset? How about watching the sunset over the ocean from the comfort of your deck or from the huge second floor leather sofa? Pick the Sand Castle. The kitchen is well stocked!! There is even a crab pot for the clams you can dig up at low tide right on the beach. This property embodies the Waldport slogan: Where the forest meets the sea! It is surrounded by tall pine and deciduous trees that give privacy from neighbors and is right on a bank above the ocean that provides both a view and instant access! Wow. Cannot wait to stay again. Additional recommendations while staying at The Sandcastle: Go to Yachats on Sunday morning for their farmer’s market! Visit Green Salmon for coffee and Bread & Roses Bakery for their pastries and bread loaves (get there early for best selection!). Toppers has awesome local ice cream that hit the spot for an evening treat. Just Local had great gifts and vacation keepsakes made by all local artists.

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful home. The view is absolutely amazing. It felt like we had our own private beach. Loved that this place is dog friendly. My co*cker spaniel had the time of her life running on the beach. The home is very spacious and the rooms have the most comfortable beds. The jacuzzi was clean and ready for use which we loved. Also really found the washer and dryer useful during our stay. Exploring the surrounding area was fun although most shops open late or are closed certain days in Yachats. We drove to Newport for a quick grocery run. Also recommend the quick drive to Thors Well and the short walk from the visitor center if weather permits. No one wanted to leave at the end of our stay. We hope to visit again. We would recommend this stay to anyone visiting the Oregon coast.

More beautiful in person than the pictures. That never happens. We are all mostly short people and so we were disappointed that we couldn't find a step stool to get into the top cabinets. The house is in a great location with a nice bit of privacy.

This property had everything we could ask for! Private beach access, incredible views of the ocean, plenty of space and games in the garage! We had a great long weekend here with guests ranging in age from 2-70. Everyone was happy!

We go to Yachats about once a year and have stayed at this house twice. It is our favorite! The location is unbeatable, especially with the new stairs for beach access. The house was updated since our last stay and the changes were wonderful! New furniture takes advantage of the sweeping ocean views. The hot tub was hot and ready to go. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed to cook meals at home. The house is clean as well-maintained, especially when compared to some other places we've stayed. We didn't have to contact our host at all during our stay since their contactless check-in was seamless and we had everything we needed when we arrived. Definitely recommend this house, but only if you vacation doesn't conflict with ours. ;-)

Great place to stay if you want ocean views all day long! We got to see a storm blow through and it was amazing watching the waves come up as far as the deck! A few things I would mention, there are no spices (I assume this is a COVID precaution), no coffee filters, and in the pictures you see two couches downstairs when there is only one. Overall, I would stay over and over!

We really enjoyed our stay, the home and the views are beautiful. The game room/garage was a nice bonus, our kids loved it! The hot tub felt amazing after a long, cold walk on the beach. Would love to come back sometime with the rest of our family.

Great beach house on a private drive with private beach access. The deck leads right out to the sand, with an expansive beach area to play on. The house itself is well equipped with almost everything you would need during your stay. The game room was a big hit with all the kids, who loved being able to play a variety of table games at their leisure. The decor is modern and light, and the beds were very comfortable. The house located between Yachats and Waldport, both of which offer stores and restaurants for any needs that arise.

This property was perfect for our Christmas 2016. We had 12 people, ages 4 to 77. Where else can you celebrate opening gifts but up on the second floor and overlooking the beautiful Oregon Coast. The home was very clean, well furnished.

This house is a great place to unwind and enjoy the wonderful ocean view! We saw whales, a bald eagle, rabbits and of course lots of seagulls. The house has very comfortable beds, we slept like babies. The game room was happening on the rainy, stormy days. A perfect beach house. We will definitely be back!!!!!

This home was very nice, clean and had lights and TVs set music playing when we arrived, this was welcoming and a nice touch. We were asked to contact property manager prior to arrival and we did this, no problem. She arrived and went over some general details and rules about the home which I initialed on a contract. Some thought the beds very soft with the foam toppers, I found this very comfortable. The beds had a lot of pillows and soft sheets. The hot tub was clean and hot and there were plenty of supplies in kitchen and game garage. This home is right on the ocean and the views are beautiful, lots of windows!

We have rented many homes in Yachats (one of our favorite coastal towns), but The Sand Castle is by far the nicest we have stayed at. Not only was the property manager so nice to work with, but we did not have to stay and wash all the linen, towels and clean the entire home. This made the vacation truly a vacation. The garage full of games was also an added treat. The upstairs was like a separate retreat when my daughters family wanted some alone time. Well worth the price. We would like to stay again.

The sand castle is a great place for a family getaway. We had a couple families stay here (4 adults, 4 young kids) and had tons of space. The view of the beach and ocean from the house is AMAZING! The game room is a huge bonus as it occupies everyone's time when the s'mores on the beach are over. Foosball, pool, air hockey - great fun for the adults and kids. The layout of the house was great, a king and 2 twins up and a king and full size pullout downstairs. The beach is right outside, just a few steps down from the deck and you can walk up and down the beach for quite awhile. There's also an area setup to build a fire to cook or make s'mores. The hot tub was nice as well, everyone loved relaxing in it at the end of the day. The location is on the north side of Yachats and is a good location for a short drive to Newport or Florence. I definitely plan on coming back here again.

This home was beautiful and absolutely perfect for me and my family! We had 10 people, 4 adults and 6 children! First time my 12 year old son has ever seen the ocean and it couldn't have been more perfect! The beach was serene and beautiful! We even spotted a whale! If you are looking for a good spot for a family vacation, this would be it! The children were fully entertained! Not only do you have an awesome beach and the ocean, but you also have a game room, hot tub, and even some little added extras like kites. Fabulous stay and gorgeous home. Will stay again!! I ended up being a last minute replacement in our group of 7 (2 kids) for this gorgeous beach rental this summer. Not only is Yachats and the surrounding area amazing but you almost don't want to leave this house. The house is beautifully designed to accentuate your experience of the natural wonder that is the Yachats coastline. Once down on the beach you can walk and walk and walk in both directions. Truly magnificent and serene all at the same time. Add to that a great, well-maintained hot tub to take an edge off that PNW chill and pinball, ping pong and air hockey (oh my!) just in case you get bored waiting for the rest of your group to be ready for the day's outing.

Truly Oceanfront
We just returned from 5 days at the Sand Castle in Yachats. It was my husband, another couple and two dogs. This home was so comfortable, had the most amazing views, and the owner was a pleasure to work with, as was the property manager, Wendy. The property is in a very private setting, and directly Ocean front, the best sunsets I have seen since Jamaica! There are two bdr upstairs, that share the bathroom, with one door adjoing the twin bedroom. The bedroom downstairs has the queen bed and bath, and the bath is also accessed from the hallway. It was so roomy and comfortable, the fireplace was a treat on the cool mornings, and the sitting area upstairs has even more breathtaking views than downstairs. There is also a brand new washer/dryer in the spacious laundry room, along with a large utility sink. The Hot tub was a must in my search for a home, and this one was perfect, you could watch the sunset while relaxing after a long day, or try the game room in the garage, brand new ping pong table and paddles, pool table, air hockey, foosball, darts, etc. There are kites to fly on the beach hanging in there as well. Kitchen was well equipped, but bring yoru own foil, baggies, and extra paper towels, otherwise everything was there ready for you. The stairs to the beach are to the left of the house, and currently leaning a little, but that's what happens in the fall/winter with the ocean waves! The owners rebuild them every spring. We had no trouble accessing the beach from the boardwalk in front of the home via the natural steps and rope tied to the deck. We have stayed at 6 homes from Neskowin to Yachats over the last two years, and would rank this one #2. You cannot get more private or amazing ocean front views for the special price the owners are giving right now on this web site. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to come back!

We truly fell in love with this house! having rented other properties down the beach this house was by far the best! We couldn't find a single thing that we didn't like! We enjoyed watching some surfers the first night and seeing some whales the next. Our family has been coming here every summer for almost 20 years and I'm sure there are many more vacations to come! We loved staying here! Our kids loved playing Risk in the loft upstairs. It was cool having two living areas. Having the bathrooms connected to two different entries was nice. It made the house feel even bigger! The house was so open! We loved the view!

What a wonderful house! I could get very used to waking up each morning and having the ocean RIGHT THERE! It was a lot of fun watching the sea as it stormed. The other wonderful thing was how spacious it is! We had it filled to maximum capacity and it never felt crowded, there were plenty of places to spend time by yourself if you felt the need. I can't wait to come back in the summer!

We loved the location! We loved being on the beach, yet having the deck to knock the sand off our feet before going into the home. The hot tub was excellent, especially on the night the sky was clear and the stars were shinning bright. The house was great for a large group to eat and play games and puzzles, all the while the beach and surf is active out of the window. We love being able to go to the beach at any time of the day or night and love having our kids with us (really our dogs). Our vacation was the best! The house was the best that we have stayed in the last few years. We loved it!!!

The view was spectacular and the bench seating was great. We did like the view from the dining room table as we got to watch a whale during dinner. The movie selection was also good and the hottub was very clean.
