Brushed Motors running on 3s
Hello
I have a Redcat Racing Everest Gen 7 Pro, and the esc that comes in it is a Hexfly esc, which says it can run 2-3s.
My question is, how long/well will the brushed motor run with 3s? Will the motor burn out or brushes wear quickly being run on 3s? Ive been running a 2s lipo in it ever since I got it but Id like to up the speed and power of the truck.

Not long. The motor should be able to handle it. The brushes are going to be the question. They will burn up fast, and if you drive it hard, your commutator will also wear out quickly.
Most of all, why would you want to run a 3s on a crawler? It already has plenty of power to get over obstacles. If not, drop down a tooth on the pinion.

I ran a 4s pack in my twin hammers that was configured for crawling. The usual winds were too hot, so I wound and built my own motor to work with the higher voltage.
Turned out to be amazingly smooth and ran for about an hour on a 2800mah pack, if memory serves.

3s is a pretty standard voltage for crawlers. And "crawler" brushed motors are generally fine with the higher voltage (they are slow motors to start with so you aren't pushing the limits).

Especially when you consider there's more than one wind for crawlers. On 2S 35T seems popular, but there's also 45T and 55T motors available and IMO the latter ones are made with 3S in mind.
